autumn in new york part I

i have a hard time passing up any chance to go back east,
especially in the fall! ralph finally had a break, (they are far and few between)
so we decided to get away to one our very favorite cities, new york,
and then head to washington d.c. where ralph had never been!
(he vaguely remembers going when he was little, but basically his first time)
i know both cities pretty well, so i am never in a rush, and the trip always feels nice and relaxed.

i spent two summers in d.c. nannying my cousins kids, so it is always
so fun to visit, especially in the fall without the brutal humidity, it is the ideal weather!

but first,
here are some pictures from new york.

the MET
oh goodness. this place makes me so happy!

i was a little worried ralph wouldn't want to stay as long as i would like (i could stay for days)
but he actually loved it, and i had to drag him out of some exhibits!
i guess i am rubbing off on him!

this trip sortof turned into a business/work trip for ralph, which meant lots of phone calls
and setting up meetings at random times.

these. ROOMS.
my favorite part of the MET. i mean, really though.
this is my type of eye candy.

i loved this quote.
thanks park avenue methodist church :)

we went to fonda which is a mexican restaurant in east village,
and it was honestly amazing! i love finding local favorites, and not just sticking
to the trendy touristy spots. i recommend this place!!

love that empire state.
