this granola is a staple in our tiny apartment! after seeing our frightening grocery bill living in new york city, i was determined to make whatever i could by myself. i came up with this simple granola recipe that is so easy, not terrible for you, and budget friendly. win, win, win! (when my sister came to visit, she was eating this stuff by the fistful and thats when i knew it was a good one!) i make a batch every week and we go through it like crazy!
i get so many requests for the recipe, so here it is! so simple, and just how a classic granola should taste.
combine the following ingredients
3 cups old fashioned oats
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup honey
few drops of vanilla extract
dash of salt
add in chopped almonds + sunflower seeds
or whatever nuts you prefer!
(you can also add shredded coconut, chocolate chips, etc.)
combine with oat mixture.
spread evenly on cookie sheet.
bake in oven for 20 minutes
at 300 degrees.
*once out of the oven, stir around while its
hot and break with your hands to prevent clumps.
